![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This is the car that started the forum query. EY 258 is a dead plate (originally Anglesey, January 1912), but googling it bounced back to one of our own in Downtown Abbey and the comment there which took me to this "1926 Hudson" - https://www.premiercarriage.co.uk/vehicles/1926-hudson-convertible/ - SV 5981. ✓ Taxed Tax due: 01 May 2017 ✓ MOT Expires: 22 May 2017 Vehicle make HUDSON Date of first registration May 1996 Year of manufacture 1926 Cylinder capacity (cc) 4700 cc Fuel type PETROL Export marker No Vehicle status Tax not due Vehicle colour MAROON Seems there was UK assembly from 1925, but only 6 cylinder (maybe 2374cc) until 1929 added Great Eight (3504cc). So plate info of 4700cc is wrong or it has a non-standard engine from something else. Or it's not a UK build but modern import from somewhere RHD which had 4700cc version. |
