J B Priestley wrote an essay about Lyons Corner Houses called "At Popular Prices", the theory being that if you scratched the plating, it all looked pretty shabby underneath. Lyons Corner House and a Fordson ET6. The only thing left in this picture that you can find these days is women in silly hats.
