There are some interesting comments about Rootes an Pressed Steel Co in the footnotes. My first thought was Austin Ten, but it doesn't match the Lichfield (fourlight) or the Sherborne (sixlight but fastback). Other possibilities are practically any British midrange car from the period, except a Ford or a Morris.
johnfromstaffs ◊ 2017-02-01 12:44	After looking at the film, where you get to see the side of the bonnet, it's an Austin, Twelve I think.
