From what I understood, it was unveiled at first in 1952 as "body from Utilty Truck Corporation mounted on GMC Forward-Control chassis", and GMC apparently integrated it to its truck line as... Utility: (1952 & 1955 brochures) Not really related to the 1949-57 Dubl Duty, which body was originally made by another coachbuilder, but for sure basis of the 1958-67 GMC PM-Series / Package Delivery Units and of the 1958-67 Chevrolet Step-Vans. I just found 1952 and 1955 documents related to these vans, for now. The square small lights in the grille are not present in the van depicted in the 1952 brochure, so let's give the 1955 model year to the van shown in the main pic? -- Last edit: 2016-06-26 09:07:28 |

"Most Beautiful" is not the phrase I'd think of for this truck. |
