It is indeed an SB220, though Plaxton Verde-bodied. One of a batch of eight (P13-P39) ordered by Bus Éierann between 1992 and 1993, powered by a DAF LT160G engine coupled to a ZF 4HP500 four-speed automatic gearbox. The fake British plate and destination had me confused for a moment! |

It had me searching for it as well but its nothing like the local Dunstable buses. Its far too good for a Luton area operator in the 1990s although the Orange/Blue colours were and still are common to some Luton buses. I guess the bus sign says something like 'Chiltern and District' a fictitious combination of buses operating in the area. |
