I think it's a Commer or a Karrier.

Commer QX by the step-plate on the wheel-arch and head-light position.

Judging by the fact that it doesn't seem to have any quarter windows in the back corner of the cab, it appears to be an early Mk I R7 petrol (1947-51). These are now very rare vehicles. Too hard to tell but these had the sidelghts in the front of the guard above the step (where they got regularly damaged) and an open front step. Talk to anyone who drove these models on a wet day and they will tell you of the pain when the foot shot straight off the front of the step and the edge got you in the back of the calf. The Mk II and subsequent models had a large 'lip' on the front of the step to stop damage to drivers and the sidelight was shifted to this front lip to give it greater protection.

I thought corner quarter lights in the cab rear *was* a distiguishing feature of the R7?

Mk 1s didn't have rear cab quarter windows but this was added after complaints from operators / drivers, for all subsequent models.

The long-wheelbase 162" version of the QX R7 7-Ton was introduced September 1949.

The 115" and 141" wheelbases were introduced from January 1948 on both the 5-Ton and 7-Ton QX trucks.
