'Riviera-Sport', the model industrialist Pierre Renoir is much counting on.

Some US convertible in disguise, I guess.

I felt the French coachbuilding (flanks and rear part). Saoutchik has maybe something to do with the coupé seen in the movie, no?

It is 1939 only, if French body builder didn't remove running boards since beginning. In 1938 the Amercian bodied Grahams had running boards and in 1940 different grille.

A great find! Only 3 or 4 Graham "shark nose" type 97 1938-39 by Saoutchik are known (see Automobilia N°67, March-april 2004). The car on the film is definitly not N°1 (first owner: Mr. Reb), now restored in the USA, nor N° 4 (first owner :Mr. Deluy) which has a fixed windshield. Car N° 2 (Paris Salon, October 38) has definite 1938 details, but it may have been transformed into a 1939 (car n°3). So far, known photos of car N° 3 (up to April 1939) show only some details for a 1939. The one of the film may be the same car, but further modified to receive the full detailing for a 1939. Alternatively it may be another car, so far unknown!. Saoutchik has produced 5 or 6 Packard with the special Young sliding doors similar to those of the Graham in 37-39, so the production of more that 3 or 4 Sharknose remains a possibility. It would be worth pointing the immatriculation of the Sharknose in the film!
