Lack of wrap around turn signals means this is a 1977 model. |

Interesting, DT. That is NOT a '77 Ninety-Eight grille. Also, the '77 had the nameplate over the top of the grille, not in it. -- Last edit: 2009-10-02 19:04:17 |

I see what you mean. Infact, with closer inspections I can say that this isn't even a 98. It's a Custom Cruiser wagon. |

Thanks, DT. I went on a grille search and could not find it. Forgot the station wagon had a completely different grille at that time. Here's the brochure: Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.com" -- Last edit: 2009-10-02 20:07:07 |

Interesting...looking at the brochures of 77-79 Olds Custom Cruisers, it seems that they don't gain wrap around turn signals or one piece parking lights. They are identical, except that 1977 models had there own grill for that year. The wagon in this photo is a '78 or '79 model. |

'79, I believe. Here is the Custom Cruiser in the 1978 brochure. Note different grille. Link to "www.oldcarbrochures.com" My memory may be faulty, but I seem to recall 1979 was the ONLY year the Custom Cruiser had its own unique grille bar pattern. |

Note the '77's http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/main.php?g2_itemId=91357 You're right though, the wagon in this photo is a '79. -- Last edit: 2009-10-02 21:40:33 |
