dsl ◊ 2014-09-24 19:04	Assuming A plate is correct = 63. CV8 introduced as Mk1 Oct 62-Sept 63 (69 made), then Mk2 Oct 63—July 65 (250 made). Most sources claim small bodywork differences but give no detail. Glass's says at front - sidelights combined with flashers below headlamps and lockable button button replaced chrome bonnet handle; at rear smooth bootlid without moulding in centre. Easy to find Mk2 rear pics on t'interweb - eg http://www.classic-auctions.com/Images/Report/130C/47981a.jpg , http://www.simoncars.co.uk/jensen/slides/t_Jensen%20CV8%20mkII%20tail.jpg with nice smooth boots. Only this found for Mk1 with nasty lump http://www.classic-cars-for-sale.com/my_media/hrcv8-10-L%20new.jpg . So this view unclear. But balance of numbers within 1963 suggests Mk1.
