Aus built GT. I'm very intrigued by this one - has C O R T I N A lettering along front bonnet edge and blank badge on bonnet hump; my understanding is that this was unique for the Aus-only GT500 homologation special which conventional wisdom says was 2 door only, although I've seen stories that after the proper batch was built, some unofficial 4 doors were "accidentally" made. Noted also the number plate is above the bumper - GT500 had brake ducts and oil cooler below so would have wanted clear airflow. So I think this could be a GT500 4 door but further local knowledge would be very useful.

I really don't think this is a GT at all, just a bog-standard 440 Airflow - no chrome trim down the side, and I can't see "500" badging where it'd be on an actual GT500.

My grandmother had a Mk1 440 Airflow, and it had the bonnet "Cortina" lettering and blank bonnet hump.

OK - rethink accepted - not a GT 500. But it has a badge on rear wing where a UK GT had one; UK Super (which was similar to UK Super as I understand it??) had badge in different place within the body flash, not below it. Have removed 500 from the title, and if Aus GT had side chrome (which UK GT did not have) and the 440 had a badge in same position as pictured, then I'd take your suggestion of 440.

All the Aussie Cortinas had the badges there - 220, 240, 440, and GT.

Here's an example of a standard 440, with the badge:
