In USA yes, but its original name was Kurierwagen (Typ 181) |

It's a later version (ca.after 1974/75) with the four-spoke-1303-steering-wheel. The first 181 had the steering-wheel from the VW 1200 Standard after 1967. The -most produced- version for the German Bundeswehr (usually with the lovely Eberspächer-extra-heating). |

P.S. The 181, made for the Army, were always produced in Germany. Except a very few late Beetles, the German Army had no Mexican made VW's. |
