Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" The car in the picture is a series MM, not a series II, which I show in the link. Look at the bonnet ornament, series MM, chrome strip, Series II a handle. Although the Series II was introduced in October 1952, the initial production was for export only and the Series MM remained in production until February 1953. JFS was an Edinburgh Burgh Council registration current from March to June 1951, we can discount the JES 1956 date as the car would have had the horizontal barred grille similar to a Minor 1000.
