Citroen 11 Roadster/Legere?

No, Citroën Tractions had more fluid lines, and never wire wheels nor running boards...

Matford Alsace, 1935+?

Matford was my first thought, but unlike American Fords Matfords usually had plain wheels. And if they had wirewheels these had a bigger hubcap. Also the waist line is too low for anything Ford based, I'd say.

Fair enough, but there still seems to be a lot of Ford about it - maybe an early (1935-6) Eifel cabriolet? Check the taillights ...

Too big and too low to be an Eifel. And a German Ford in France??? Also, I guess those taillights are too modern (as most of the lights on these movie cars are....). I suspect an upmarket French car; but I cannot find which one :(

Ha, the last thumb shows clearly that it's a Hotchkiss :)
Must be a 1935 Hossegor, I'd say.

A '35 Biarritz was used here:

I think this is the same car.
