No side trim (though arguable - looks as if it had the thin trim at one time), no badge on the front fender - Kaiser Carolina or - if trimmed - Kaiser De Luxe? -Kurt |

The '51 Kaisers also did not have front fender nameplates. This could actually be most any Kaiser from '51-'55 owing to condition, damage, de-trimming and from the photo angle. We can't even quite tell if it has the late '54-'55 rear window. Don't think it's a Carolina though, as it does appear to have side window trim. Let's list as '51 pending better photos. |

Watched this movie online. The car appears very briefly in one scene near the begining. A few frames earlier, the windshield is visible and is one piece, taking out 1951 unless the divider bar has been broken out. A few frames after the subject shot, a slose up of the rocker panel area is shown and appears to show mounting holes for wide side trim. Will list as 1952 Manhattan. -- Last edit: 2014-09-08 16:45:46 |
