Are the front wings long enough to be an Ambassador?
When I was in my 20's I followed a neighbour who totally restored a 1947 Nash 600, and I understood that the only difference between the 600 and the Ambassador was the longer front, but I never understood why it had an extended front (bigger engine, straight eight?).

If I understand this page http://www.nashcarclub.org/nccaphot/nccaphot.html correctly they almost looked the same 1942-48 albeit the earlier ones had somewhat less chrome between the headlights ("grill").

I guess we can go with '47 as it does appear the upper grille center is wider, although a better photo would be most welcome.

That's all I could get. It's not very visible but at least it would have been brought in for the film, so it's not "random". Your only hope is possibly coming across behind the scenes photos.

They both had straight six-cylinder engines, though the Ambassador's was larger and more powerful. The 600 (112 inch wheelbase, 199.5 inch length) had partially skirted rear wheel wells whereas the Ambassador (121 inch wheelbase, 208.5 inch length) had full wheel wells. This one is an Ambassador.
