This is not a 1949 Buick :the two 1949 Buick wagons , Roadmaster and Super had portholes ,the Roadmaster four and the Super three and had steel roofs .This one is a 1947 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon Model 79 on the 129 inches chassis. It still has the all-wood body with the rubber fabric roof ,and contrary to the 1948 models has no model identification script above the front end of the lower side chrome slat that extends to the front wheel arch.Steering wheel also appears to be of the ivory 1947 type.It is a rare car,as only 300 were built , all originally sold in the US

Having seen the small right picture that Ralph has provided in the general comments, I need to rectify this one , because the grille of the Buick seen right of the Plymouth on that picture is 1946 , not 1947.It therefore is a Buick Super Estate Wagon Model 59 of 1946. About 800 of those were produced. There were no Roadmaster Estate Wagons in 1946.Lesson is that it helps to have a look at all thumbnails even in the general comments before going in detail especially when these are very similar.

Excellent idea to drive a car that plentiful through snow, ice and salt. I love film crews' attitude towards mobile cultural heritage. Is that a BMW 700 parked in front of it in one of the thumbnails?
