66 D plate? If so = 250 S or SE. |

A 300 SE version of the W108 was also available in 1966, but I don't know if it was exported to the UK. Although blurred, the lenght of the left badge seems more SE than S, so I guess it makes more sense to call it a 250 SE Automatic. |

UK got 300 SEL, not 300 SE in 66. |

UK an the rest of the world. According last procurements there is no 300 SE, only 300 SEL (and then w 109). I agree this one seems to be a W 108 250SE. |

I suppose you have to take a look at its sales brochure: Link to "w108w109.forumactif.com" (2737 produced between August 1965 and December 1967) -- Last edit: 2013-01-29 23:33:21 |

You are right, there is no 300 SE only 'after' 1967. I confirmed the production numbers. -- Last edit: 2013-01-31 00:26:57 |

By the way, I regret the misinformation. Actually, 1,989 300 SE type W 108 IV were produced in 1966. |
