Notice it has a "110" badge rather than a "Defender" badge. Notice the hood ornament, looks like a dog.

Or Defender 110, depending of the year.

The registration number (A prefix: August 1983 – July 1984) could be a fake disguising a newer vehicle. Certainly the plates themselves were made in 2001 or later, because they use the narrower font.

These are Defender 110 Station Wagon.
In the main picture the rigid spare-wheel center cover was introduced in 1993. The 'Freestyle' alloy wheels became available in 1996.
And the 'A'-reg (=1983/84) in the last small picture is in fact 1985 or younger, probably much younger.

The Royals do often transfer registrations when they change cars.

Prince Charles: I thought you were going to get a new one of these?
Queen: What for? It's perfectly all right.

You can hear them, can't you?

What do you mean?

I haven't seen the film, but I can just imagine HM (Her Maj, not Helen Mirren) saying "What for? It's perfectly all right." - even the tone of voice.

But she ends up breaking it and getting stuck in a shallow river.

Apparentely 70% of all Land Rovers ever made (by that I mean the classic model, the Series I,II,III and the Defender, not the Freelander and the Discovery) are still in use today.

Amazing attention to detail here. The real Elizabeth has long driven Defender 110s, and the movie folks added the exact hood ornament
the real Elizabeth uses (the "Labrador with Pheasant" by Louis Lejeune, the same company that supplies the royals with all their hood
ornaments), plus a near-identical license plate to the actual Queen's rover (the real Liz has registration A444 RYV), even the "AA" grille
badge. They didn't add the RAC (Royal Auto Club) badge that the real Liz has, but other than that, kudos for replicating the "real"
Queen's Land Rover!

Article on the Queen's real Land-Rover here: http://www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=52&i=25797

110 badge seems to be fake, as the badge actually reads Land-Rover 110, not just 110, and the general features suggest a newer car.
