When Knight Rider was broadcasted in Germany, the car was not named KARR!, but KITT...
Don't ask me why. :)

Quote I do not remember what was it role in the series... I did not see these episodes I think

It's been a while since I've seen any of the KARR episodes, but it was basically KITT's evil twin (I'd like to know if Michael Knight's evil twin was ever in the same episodes as KARR), a prototype that turned out not having a conscience or something like that, so it got locked up in a warehouse. I believe it was broken out by a few petty thieves who didn't know what it was.

Quote (I'd like to know if Michael Knight's evil twin was ever in the same episodes as KARR).

It was, if I remember well Garth Knight (The real son of Wilton Knight) even cooperated with KARR.

I'm sorry, I have no record of Michael's underground mission...

Also, why doesn't KARR have a two-tone black/silver paint job?

And furthermore, what was KARR'S German name?

in 3.06 (K.I.T.T. vs. K.A.R.R.) a bit of plothole with respraying it to two-tones - no particular reason and also no time for that - it was black at the beginning as they found it on the beach:

but in the middle of the episode just appeared coloured as on the main picture.. strange..

Isn't it obvious? Since it's a car, they couldn't give it a moustache to show us which one was the evil one!

yes I have a bit logic too... [Image: angry.gif] but it still is not reasoned plothole - or is it so normal if the cars color is changed within 5 minutes?

It was called "Knights automatisch reagierender Roboter", that means like "Knight's automatically racting roboter"

The two tone paint was introduced to get KITT and KARR not mixed up ;)

@MM
KARR always was called KARR in the episodes. Never was called KITT. Makes no sense

KARR blew up in Trust Doesn't rust. Plus' if you look closely, you can see that in the part where Karr jumped it was the same scene as when The Car jumped the cliff in "the car" (1977)

KARR stands for Knight Automated Roving Robot. It was probably cheaper to buy the scene from that movie then to really drive a Trans Am off a cliff. Or they were out of toy models like they used too many times throughout the series' life.

KARR which stands for The Knight Automated Roving Robot. KARR didn't appear in six episodes of Knight Rider, instead let's listen the truth about KARR. KARR only appear in two episodes which includes the first season episode Trust Doesn't Rust, and the third season episode KITT VS. KARR. In the video game KARR is allied by Michael Knight's evil twin Garthe Knight.

KARR is actually the prototype version of KITT originally designed by Wilton Knight and built by his company Knight Industries.

Did any other episodes have footage from "The Car" (1977) added to it? Because "Trust Doesn't Rust" only had the first half of the jump footage, and on a YouTube clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arL04K3HLMw at the 1 minute and 21 second mark), it showed all of the jump footage, and I don't know if "Trust Doesn't Rust" is the only episode with "The Car" footage.

Never mind. I already found that out for myself. The jump that I was describing was on Season 1, Episode 13: "Forget Me Not."

K.A.R.R. is one of my all-time favorite villains in the series. Both Peter Cullen and Paul Frees did an excellent job providing the voice for him. In "Trust Doesn't Rust", Mr. Cullen made him sound like a naïve but extremely bad-tempered child while in "K.I.T.T. vs K.A.R.R.", Mr. Frees made K.A.R.R. sound like a charming but very cunning and dangerous killer.

Also, I really enjoy this moment in "Trust Doesn't Rust".
