Back then it was a cheap outdated clunker. Only liked by owners of handicraft businesses and marketers, because due its very solid chassis, a pre-war frame construction it had a big towing capacity (IIRC somewhere I've something about 3 tons). |

remember a movie at Algarve coast, where the frame chassis of 503 Cabrio is to be seen, Ingo, how did you know, my fahter drove one back in he 70ies but the V8 2,6l version with bigger rear window, the design was anachronistic at its appearance allready i was quite astonished the car was built in 1964, not even 10 years old, but looked old fashioned compared to pre war Kapitän. -- Last edit: 2012-07-07 01:17:46 |

I always liked that car as well. After all, it was more or less a hand-built vehicle. |
