CCH plates issued 1950, so this has to be CGH = Aug-Oct 35. GGH Sept 39-Jan 40 probably too late??

'CGH 847' I think.

Looks Ford to me, but which model? The 1936 Model 67 30hp van does not have a plated grille surround.

The grille is 1933 Dodge. I don't know much about the British Dodge truck production but I guess they used the same grille for several years?

Thanks nzcarnerd.

It looks like its based on the Dodge KC ½ton truck (USA), although I cannot find if it was assembled as a Dodge Kew truck in the UK.

According to my book "British Lorries 1900 - 1992" by S W Stevens-Stratten, Dodge produced a 30 cwt truck chassis from 1933, accompanied by 2 and 4 ton models, all with American engines. The general shape of the 1935 3 ton cab and grille, which is the only picture in the book, resemble this van, but on a larger scale. By 1938 these had gone, to be replaced by the snub nosed truck which lated until the late forties.

The van in the movie looks to be RHD and is similar to the size and design of the Dodge KC ½ton truck (USA) here...

including the same spare wheel on the right of the bonnet.

Either made in Canada or the Kew plant in England. edit: Since the Canadian Dodge KC (RHD) is known to have been exported to Australia and its not known to have been assembled at Kew - built in Canada.

The car behind the bollard interests me. Possibilities include 1939 Standard (hope not). Maybe 1936+ Hillman Minx, or even Ford Model C.
