@Ddey65: Convertibles usually have a higher towing capacity than the closed version of the same model. This goes for the smaller European cars, too. So a Golf Cabriolet (either I and III) can tow a higher weight than the regular Golf or the Variant. Years ago a friend had a shitty Fiat Ritmo Cabriolet - which was allowed to tow 1400kg. It was allowed, but perilous With two horses in a trailer -less than 1200kg totally- it was not driveable any more... |
