It differs from early CJ-5s in very subtle ways. One key point is no tailgate and most have blackout lights on front left fender. Also different dash, it has the same instrument cluster as other "M" series of post-war military vehicles. The prominent battery box cover in front of the passenger side windscreen was shared with the CJ until 1964.
