Actually, I disagree. All Jeepneys on the site should be origin Philippines in my opinion. There's nothing American about these, except the chassis and some other mechanics.

They're US military jeeps left over from the war, with heavy Phillipine modification.

These were the first, original ones. All the plenty of thousands, you see nowadays there, are newer, even built today. Recently I've seen a TV-reportage about Phillipinian Jeepneys. There are several companies there, specialized in manufacturing them.

I watched a documentary recently where a bus driver from London went to the Philippines to drive one of these for a while.

Very interesting vehicles. I think there was some Mercedes badges on it which struck me as odd.

Well, the owners tend to put on every bit and piece they can find in order to give their Jeepney the most personal and unique look possible. That's why you'll never see a Jeepney that looks like another.

So is it decided, all Jeepney's should be changed to Origin Philippines?
