Though set in USA, it looks like a Ford Mondeo (1st series) from shape of door pillars and tail lamps. Since it was partly filmed in Czech Republic that is possible since it's a 'background' vehicle + shot at night. |

I was about to say exactly the same thing. I realised that the badge could be "Mondeo" in the mock-handwriting style that Ford used in the nineties. (Vaguely relevant observation: Some film-makers aren't too bothered about "authentic" cars. Hellboy -- also filmed in Prague, as it happens -- has a Peugeot 406 and a ZiL limousine in New York, and the ZiL belongs to a major character. It looks just like a 1950s American car, so only an expert would spot it.) -- Last edit: 2006-06-02 01:47:15 |

It's not a Mondeo I think. Lights are different: Link to "g.autorola.nl" Mmm, http://www.autocentre.ua/ac/05/45/images/15/LAGUN-MOND-0000.jpg -- Last edit: 2006-06-02 07:53:16 |

I know that, but the rear lights are different. |

It has mondeo taillights, but they could be of the 2nd generation |

Could it be a Taurus wagon rather than a Mondeo? cf. /vehicle.php?id=35724 |
◊ 2006-06-08 06:34 |
No, it's not a Taurus. It looks too small and the mirrors don't match the body for a Taurus. |

Isn't this just a US Ford Escort Wagon? Isn't it strange to find a Ford Mondeo (EU) between US cars? |

Not, when it's named Contour. |
◊ 2013-03-17 21:33 |
Definitely a Mondeo, maybe a scene filmed in the Czech Republic intended to look like it was in the US? Contour was only sold as a Saloon. -- Last edit: 2013-03-17 21:33:24 |

OK, then /vehicle.php?id=35724 could be an Opel Vectra Mk2? |
