btw..if ever in Hawaii, there's a tour that will take you to this base. it's a really good tour. you can also go 4-wheeling where they filmed this scene: /vehicle_33988-Willys-M38-1950.html which is the same place used in Jurassic Park. |

This is a Shay fiberglass replica Model A. As far as I know, Shays were supposed to be an approximation of a 1929 Model A with a Ford 2.3L 4-cylinder and some other modern conveniences -- a post on the JalopyJournal 'H.A.M.B' forum says that this car has a modern tilt steering column which is visible in one interior scene in the film; however I do not have access to the movie at this time to confirm this. I can't find any sources that list the year this exact car was built; I also can't tell from the image whether it's the Standard roadster or the Deluxe (Deluxe had a driver side mount spare tire, Standard had it mounted on the rear). http://www.shayhistory.com/HistoryShay.html (Scroll down near the bottom) |

Should be a Shay unknown so it fits with the one from Billy Bathgate. |
