Definitely going to have to go with the 6C 1500 http://petergiddings.com/Cars/Alfa6C1500photos/1930_alfa_6C1500.jpg -- Last edit: 2011-02-19 22:42:46 |

Agree with 6c 1500 but probably a James Young bodied one - different grill to the link above. |

Ah, here's a picture of the car at a concours: Alfa Romeo 6C 1500 N, 1928 Torpedo, James Young & Lincoln L... • Villa d'Este • barchetta • StudioLine MediaCenter http://barchetta.mediacenter.studioline.net/?i=1593462 |

This '& Lincoln L.' business is a strange one. Barchetta have a picture of same car as just 'James Young' one pic back https://barchetta.mediacenter.plus/?i=1593462 . Anywhere else I looked there's nowhere a mention of coachwork by 'James Young & Lincoln L.' as a different coachwork company or J.Y. under a different name. So until there's anything more than a caption I'd say let's consider this simply a James Young. 'N' is for Normale -the base engine option and never really used, a base model is just a 6C 1500. And a drophead coupe. So a 1928 6C 1500 /Torpedo Drophead Coupe James Young/. -- Last edit: 2021-04-25 01:23:10 |
