@Edit: Large taillight with small indicator and small rear door, so 1962 only. -- Last edit: 2010-11-24 18:30:56 |

This episode aired on 18 October 1959, so it cannot be a 1962 model. |

Alfred Hitchcock Presents episode "Coyote Moon" from 1959 Others have noted the apparent lack of upper part (window frame)of passenger door. First thing I noticed when I watched this years ago was the covered-up VW emblem on the front. How come? Also, I seem to remember the driver using the fuel shutoff tap below the seat to fake an "out of gas" incident. Am I mistaken? |

"Lorelei" John and Mary Piltkin Can you make it out? One of my favorite episodes. -- Last edit: 2017-03-26 23:17:08 |

Pointy indicators April 1955. Central stop lamp lost May 1957. Rear compartment vents omitted January 1958. These bumpers were lost August 1958 (so a 1959 could have either). The problem remains, these two compartment taillights are reported new July 1961, for MY1962.... I guess there is some information missing since they were present 1958 already. I'd like to list as 1958 for the rest of the car For the (remote operated push-pull knob) fuel tap, it remained until MY1962 got a fuel gauge. And yes, it could be set to an 'off' position -- Last edit: 2017-04-02 18:42:47 |
