Used as if it were the Woodill Wildfire See discussion in /vehicle_345268-Rolls-Royce-20-25-hp.html -- Last edit: 2010-10-29 20:29:28 |

This would have been a brand new car at the time of filming. It looks as if the Doretti was introduced March 54 for export only, then UK sales from July 54. UK sales (and presumably production?) ceased May 55 after a maximum of 293 had been made (possibly only 276). However I'm still slightly unsure about this as a Doretti - as far as I can tell from online pictures, the SD did not have external door hinges. I wondered originally about an Allard, and the Oct 1952 onwards Palm Beach also looks similar (and is more plausible for date range). Can anyone give a definite verdict? |

But isn't this too small to be a Nash Healey ? |

I am not entirely convinced it is a Nash Healey But the trailing rear fender line and cockpit configuration is a better fit. Allard used the door hinge configuration. |

Allard Palm Beach pics at Link to "bringatrailer.com" . Rear wing line, external door hinges and twin fillers all match. S1 introduced Oct 52, replaced by S2 Oct 56. Production ceased soon after Jan 59. |

Agreed Allard Palm Beach... There appear to be some cars with the same door length and quarter-lites in the doors. -- Last edit: 2010-11-04 15:22:12 |
