From the My Car Check details it would seem to be a Replicar Type 35. According to Steve Hole's A-Z of Kit Cars, it was Beetle based (with the engine in the back) and 95 were made. Producers were Replicar Imports (1981-86), Chiltern Motors (1985-88), PB Motors (1988-93) and Lurastore (1993-95). By the date of registration I'd say Replicar. The book says the car was a tricky build so it would probably take a time to complete. Replicar also built replicas of the Type 43 (only one made), the Jaguar SS100 based on the Beetle and a replica of the Type 55 based on the Sherpa Van. So listing should be either Replicar Type 35 or Bugatti Type 35 Replica By Replicar Imports -- Last edit: 2012-05-26 02:31:50 |

I vote Bugatti Type 35 Replica By Replicar Imports - easier to find and less likely to "vanish" because no-one knows what to look for - especially if similar pretend-cars emerge in the future. |

A poster of a replica, now that's something really worth listing |
