more specifically, a 1967 Firebird 400. You can tell by the 400 only hood, the extra "hockey stick" style trim in the grilles and the pontiac emblem on the bumper. It's less likely this was a cloned 400 back in 1982. |

If I remember correctly, that Pontiac was owned at the time of filming by the son of series creator and producer Glen A. Larson. |

That's my car 9or it was before I crashed it.) My dad created Knight Rider and he asked me if he could put my car in his TV show. I was reluctant because I built that car myself as in the engine, trans paint job etc. I was worried the show would blow up the engine . I crashed it just leaving my high school one day. Bummer. Somewhere I got a pic of it in pieces in my back yard. |
