Une F4 Vitrée PTT 5CV de 1986, avec jantes ajourées de F6 (je pense que Renault a du adopter celles-ci sur les dernières séries de F4 après la disparition de la F6 au catalogue 1986) |

For the vehicle possible that it is the generation of 1986, even if I doubt that this is really the case because the vehicles La Poste were reformed after 5 years with a huge mileage at that time (today it is long-term rental). Film released in 1995, directed in 1994. So the vehicle is at most 1989 old, but the marking present and that of 1991, so possibly a reshaped vehicle or a model after 1991. |

Indeed I didn't even notice it was written "La Poste" on it  But the F4 wasn't produced after 1988, so not a 1991 model. Meaning it is a PTT version repainted after 1991. We listed older ones as "La Poste" (we have some older than this one...) but that is not logical, they should all stay PTT if these were models made especially for that, or not have any mention if they are regular models with just the La Poste logo. As we don't have other ones listed as PTT I think that the "La Poste" mention could just be removed from these. -- Last edit: 2021-10-05 08:49:56 |

I can't say anything useful about PTT versus La Poste naming, but I think it's sad to remove information which many folk have applied over the years. It's given us a small batch of examples which can be retrieved easily and someone somewhere might find interesting as a collection. Noted also that the R4 vans have an extra small side window - no idea if this is a specific postal format, but it is unusual. |

We're talking about 9 vehicles here, there are probably tens or even hundreds of PTT/LaPoste vehicles on the site. That side window is not specific I think, a lot seem to have it when you search for Renault 4 F4. |

No, he is right, these 4 F4 with the small back window were for the administration services (la Poste/PTT, EDF-GDF, France Télécom, Renault Service), the lambda customer could not have it (unless he bought a former administrative at the "Domaine", in France).
