Wait a minute, I thought, Biarritz name was dropped in early '60 and since this model was named just Eldorado Convertible?

Was still used in 80s, but I do not know for the 70s...

Yes the term "Biarritz" was also used in the 70's only for the super luxury Eldorados.
Belive me, if I know one thing then this, because it's my dream car!

I do some search, and yes, Biarritz returned in '76 as top of line model...
Sorry for disturbance.

1978 Fleetwood Eldordo (not Biarritz - the "Biarritz" was a custom Eldorado model in 1978)

It's just an Eldorado. Fleetwood was its own model.

And it's certainly not a '78, since the last convertible was built in '76 and that's exactly what it is.

No, there are "Fleetwood Eldorado" models (I do not know what is the model on the picture above, though, but I guess that MrCadillac knows what he says :D)

Ok, You convinced me I guess. I thought I would know.
But 2 things are still worrying me.
1. Is it right, that the last convertibles were made in 1976?
2. Why does this car have a 1978 grille???

That is correct, that no American manufacturer sold a convertible from 1977 until whenever Chrysler launched the LeBaron in the 80's (unless you count the Jeep CJ). As for the grill, customization?

1.All '67-'78 Eldos was "Fleetwood Eldorado" so they all must be renamed.
2.As for Biarritz, check out this site: http://www.100megsfree4.com/cadillac/cad1970/cad76e.htm

I just had a closer look: The designation "Fleetwood Eldorado" first appeared in 1965 and lasted until 1975. From 1976 onwards, they were just Eldorados again.

P.S.: This is indeed a Fleetwood Eldorado, just because it's a 1975. ;)
