Yes it's Corsica-bodied 12.9 Sports Lea-Francis, made and first registered in 1939 There's another one on the LFOC website on this link http://lfoc.org/index.php/lea-francis-twelve-and-fourteen -- Last edit: 2019-10-18 16:43:34 |

Old513FPV, I have just purchased one of the two sisters to your Lea Francis Corsica, #129, and am in the process of importing the car to the US. I would very much like to find out more about your Corsica. You can reach me at tbird6663@icloud.com |

Seems this Iron Petticoat car was the third of three Corsica-bodied cars in a series of four Super Sports models, chassis 132 from here, exported to US in 1969, registration not found. The other two Corsicas were chassis 115 (FLX 191, owned by Allan Lupton - "Allan L" above?? - of LFOC since 1979) and chassis 129 (FXN 602). These three were replicas of the first Super Sports, a Carlton-bodied car (chassis 52, FYW622). More info on the Corsica triplets here and here. |
