Correctly it's a Puch G. The car was developed by Steyr-Puch and still in production over there. Mercedes made just badge-engineering and sold it under their name (Peugeot, too, not to forget). Sure, during the years there were used more and more Mercedes-parts, but it was never a pure Mercedes Benz. So origin Austria is correct, for Puch AND Mercedes G. IMHO for the Peugeot-version, too. btw.: this car and the Lada Niva are actual world-champions: they are the car-models, which are for the longest time in production without substancial facelifts. |

Yes, in Austria it was always sold under the name Puch. Im some other countries, too. I think, mostly at the Austrian neighbours. |

Nun, wir Deutschen sehen das auch anders, aber wir verkrachen uns schon mit den Ösi's, wenn nur die Frage auftaucht, ob Österreich auf der Täter- oder der Opferseite gesehen werden sollte.  |
