Hiroshi's car, which he uses to elude the bad guys (in the orange Fiat). Sadly it gets stolen at gunpoint by some panicky truckers. Why they didn't just use THEIR TRUCK which was right there, I don't know. They also drove it backwards. It's a miracle the idiots didn't crash and kill themselves.

Indeed, by the fender-mounted mirrors.

Their truck probably broke down or ran out of gas.

Something like this has to be a true collectible.

Ever try to escape from a giant monster in a freight truck? Thats why they took the VW.

BTW, this doesn't have fender-mounted mirrors. The thing on the hood is a clear plastic deflector.

I had forgotten about this car in the film (how could I forget???), but remembered it immediately because of the vibrant orange/yellow color. Too bad not a Karmann conversion sold on a small scale! The amateur cutting job / rough, unfinished metal can be seen in close ups. Still, it LOOKS great! Driving down the steps must have shaken it to bits.

That jump at the end probably didn't help matters

I will agree with the fact that it does indeed look great, if only more were made...
