Although it's worth mentioning that Subaru (along with Hino) was the most common Japanese brand in Israel at that time, mainly because other Japanese manufacturers (Toyota, Mazda, Nissan, Honda etc) avoided the Israeli market in the 1970s and 1980s because of the Arab boycott, which could have significantly affected their sales in the Arabian Peninsula.

These World Cars lists are not bullet-proof but mostly solid; a made-for tag would be useful in case new info is found, so updates can be made.
