** stars

The plate is visible now and makes it a 1955 model, not 1951.

There is a dark coloured example in 'Dead Man's Evidence' (1962) quite possibly the same car, as they were pretty rare.

Hi there,
I've just joined the IMCDB and can confirm this car Reg RLT790 is in the movie "The Marked One". The clearest view is near the start of the movie as it moves away from the camera.

And at night (approx 30 mins in) driving right up to the camera and clearly showing the number plate.

Wonder if it belonged to someone in film crew.

It was allegedly owned by Malcolm Campbell, but this is not fully confirmed. If he didn't own it the story is unclear.

Since he died on 31 Dec 1948, it is quite unlikely. Was it Donald?

Ooops my bad. Yes Donald as explored here, for and against the claim.
