Alfa?

But of course. 1750?

I am more intrigued by the 0-4-4-0 Fairlie tank engine. There were very few of these built, and the only ones I can call immediately to mind are in Wales.

I was going to assume this was in Lithuania.

It would seem that there were some double Fairlies in Russia, but the article cites them as being 0-6-6-0. The coach doesn't look like the Ffestiniog stock though but the locomotive does resemble a Ffestiniog Fairlie.

I don't think you understand. I was referring to independent Lithuania, 1918-1940. This is a historical fact that is sadly commonly overlooked.

I wasn't around then. There were no Fairlies in Lithuania, independent or not, my point was that the Wiki article mentions such designed locomotives in Russia, and it occurred that the documentary makers could have bootlegged some Russian film, but apparently not. Some of the detail on the engine certainly closely resembles the Welsh machines.

Political history is not an interest, unless it impinges upon engineering of some sort.

Agree, and I could believe the background as Welsh slate mine on the Ffestiniog route - nothing diagnostic, just a general impression. But I can't find a google pic of a Ffestiniog Fairlie with such a short central cab - they all have side-boards (usually showing the engine number in a circular logo). Or the cabin here is same length but has wider opening without side-boards.

I think that the Alfa Romeo is a 6C-1750. Whether it is a Sport, Super Sport or a Gran Sport, and who built the body, Brianza, Touring or Zagato I do not know.

Looking at the shape of the doors, inasmuch as they can be seen, I am going to say it is a Gran Sport/Zagato.

1933 6C 1750 Gran Sport /Spider Zagato/
Seems like late 1933 radiator grill with no horizontal separation in upper part.
