Weasel1984 ◊ 2019-07-17 18:55	Bumper without middle part (around reg. plate) indicates pre-1961 model. First coupes were made in 1957. In 1959 this model was facelifted together with other Wartburgs. The side strip in such lower position could be introduced a little later than in 1957. Bumper without middle part (around reg. plate) indicates pre-1961 model. First coupes were made in 1957. In 1959 this model was facelifted together with other Wartburgs.
The side strip in such lower position could be introduced a little later than in 1957. Hard to find photo of 1957 coupe with such side trim, there is only drawing in period brochure:
