Is there any frontal difference betwen S1 and S2 in US/CDN format such as the badging?? Does no headrests mean S1?? |

I have a 1970 R10 that looks a lot like the one in this picture. The S2 kept the original frontal (round headlights) in US/CDN market but the bumper had extra chrome bar. The taillights were placed lower like in France. I think headrests appeared in 1971 in US model. Notice that the round light on the back fender is typically Canadian for it was designed and put at the St-Bruno plant, near Montreal, Quebec, Canada, a plant that supplied Canadian market for few years(1965-1973). -- Last edit: 2018-04-12 20:04:14 |

Nice Renault survivor, abernier! I've always been intrigued by these oddball Renaults ever since I saw North Avenue Irregulars as a kid. Not many left on this side of the Atlantic. Bon chance!! |

Front badge here looks what I'd think of as early, with tall yellow Renault diamond, and does not seem to be present on final examples. But your car shows it was present on some (at least) S2s. |

I am almnost sure the front bumper extra chrome bar always was on US and Canadian R10s. The black gum insert was later I think. I have the impression every R10s for USA in this site is so. |
