I know these wheelcovers appeared on the very first road test on Quattroruote, September 1998 issue, on a pulse still with German plates: https://copertine.quattroruote.it/cover/630/1998_09.jpg I believe Italian-delivered cars never had them, or anyway only very, very early ones
