The shape of the radiator indicates a Standard, I'd say. |

I'd stay with Standard. The car looks very similar (though it isn't the same) as the 1913 Standard 20hp Landaulette that Lord and Lady Baden-Powell got as a wedding present from the Boy Scouts (who payed voluntary the maximum of one penny each...). |

If you compare the radiator shape of the 1910 Standard on this page - http://www.britishmm.co.uk/history.asp?id=842 with the Minervas on this page - http://clubs.hemmings.com/clubsites/wokr/gallery/Gallery6.htm - particularly this one - http://clubs.hemmings.com/clubsites/wokr/gallery/min_02.htm - you see why I contend that this is a Minerva. Notice the curved top of the radiator on the Minerva compared with the almost straight top sides of the Standard. |

Next thing now is to work out which model. There were two sleeve-valve fours in the pre WW1 years - the 14hp 2.3 litre model JJ and the 18hp 3.8 litre model EE. I would guess this is one of the smaller ones. It would date from around 1914. |
