1950 Studebaker. As far as I can see, it is a Champion, but the rear lights don't match exactly with the photos I got. Also the rear window in one piece is somewhat different, as I saw it always divided in two.

1951+ Studebakers opted with four doors had a undivided rear window. One example is this Commander (V8) http://barnfinds.com/exclusive-1951-studebaker-commander/ which also has the same bootlid handle and overriders.
Another is this Champion (I6) http://billstudepage.homestead.com/files/2011august.htm .

So six or eight cylinder? I don't know.

Models available in 1951 http://www.classiccarcatalogue.com/STUDEBAKER%201951.html .

This is a 1951 Studebaker Commander State.
Correct observations by Zodiac regarding the one-piece rear window, trunk handle and bumper guard design, all 1951 indicators.
This is a Commander per the V-8 emblem on the trunk lid just visible above the handle, and is a State Commander owing to the stainless steel gravel shield.
Strange tail lamp lenses, I agree. They look aftermarket.

locally assembled?
We have just one CH-made Studebaker: /vehicle_23456-Studebaker-Champion-Ghia-Aigle-1955.html

That other Studebaker has got a Swiss built body (by Ghia-Aigle).
I think only some Larks have been assembled in Switzerland as standard Studebaker.
