AC ME3000 coupe with 303 KCG plate = September 1984 from plate info. This should be one of the 30 sequel cars built by AC (Scotland) in Hillington, Glasgow after AC stopped production at Thames Ditton.

"[303 KCG] is chassis number 185, and the first of 30 to be built in Hillington, Scotland after the move from Thames Ditton, out of a total of around 130 worldwide. Bought in 1985 by my dad from its first owner, it was kept in the Motoring Heritage Trust Museum for many years until their unfortunate closure in July 2007. Since the closure of the museum, #185 has spent some time in Bishopton Hiring & Garage to get spruced up for an MOT.... " from https://lodge.glasgownet.com/cars/ac-3000me/

"106 AC 3000 MEs were built, 76 by AC Cars in Thames Ditton and 30 by AC Scotland. Chassis numbers start at 104, yet 105 and 107 were never used. The last Thames Ditton car was 182 and the last car of all was 212. Some were used to make special concept cars. Most Thames Ditton cars have black bonnet air intakes, while most Scottish cars have the air intakes painted the same colour as the car (but not all). Some people think the Thames Ditton cars are best but they are all very similar, in fact it is more likely that each car made was slightly different than the others which is always the way with hand built cars. 17 Thames Ditton cars were fitted with a turbo by Robin Rew at Silverstone. You can always tell a turbo as it only has one tail pipe, however many of the Turbos have been removed." - http://www.ac3000me.com/ac3000me/index.php/information/buyers-guide
