And quite customized at that. Speaking of customized 'Vettes, you people ought to see the '63 I know of from the Spring Hill Car Show that has a clear plexiglas roof. |

It is a '63.I built the car for my wife and it was her daily driver. We rented the car to the production company and they had it for 6 weeks during the filming of Sunset Heat. Would I do it again? probably not. They put about 600 miles on it and cracked the left front flare with the camera mount. They ultimately paid for the damage, but not until we sued them. I know that it was driven a lot more than just during the filming, but I built the car to drive. It was fun to attend the premiere in L.A. and see it on the big screen. Also got to attend the premiere party. We sold the car in the early 2000's after I finished another '63 Corvette Roadster in 2001. That car was the cover of Vette Magazine in Jan.2001. and had a small part in the 2004 Dennis Hopper Movie "The Last Ride". We still have that Vette. The Sunset Heat car was sold to a couple in Oregon and I have no idea where it is today, but I'd love to know. |
