"Vanagon" in the USA. Or was this scene made in NZ? -- Last edit: 2008-01-15 09:57:12 |

Since NZ drives on the left, it's not a local market version and might or might not have come from the US. |

No, this looks strictly built for the USA. That driver is on the left side, and the headlights are round. Therefore this is purley an early-1980's Vanagon. |

It's one of the first T3, 1979-1982. You recognize it by the missing second grille, so it's an aircooled one. Ddey65: basicialy the T3 had always round headlights. All other headlamp-versions, rectangular ones or double round lamps, were usual in special models like Multivan, Caravelle or so, or available as orignal VW or aftersales-market extra-equipment. |

Anyway with these yellow-orange lights on, it is a US-specs, no? |

Mid-MY1981 for the plastic vents, Wasserboxer offered MY1984 on - no front cooler intake visible here. Single color (Assuan brown?) offered on basic Vanagon (1981-82 Vanagon, 1983 Vanagon L) but Assuan brown solely on campers.... 1981-83 |
