For some reason some of these where fitted with round headlights. I know that American rules on sealed beam light design were strict, but Mazda seemed to play it safe with other export market specs. |

This is a 1977/78 model (no black bumper ends), introduced in Europe in February 1977. Back then all 323 had those round headlights. The rectangular lights came for model year 1980 (at least in Europe). |
