However, the Valiant is LHD, whereas both countries use RHD cars, and has what looks like a California plate.

Yes, I notice them a lot.
But this is a LHD car.Is it legal to drive one in those countries? I thought most RHD countries were pretty strict about that.

 @ galloper: could you give the time code of the pictures, please? It would help to see in the movie if there is another view possible for some of the cars (to help for identifying model year, for example). Thanks.
