A 2007-Olsenbanden-movie? :/ This smells very much like an embarassing wannabe-retro-straggler, eeh? Especially for a fan, who only accept the Danish originals.

There are more of them :D and I'm willing to post every last one of them. The movies are quite childish, I used to like them when I was a kiddie (as you say). It actually started out as a Christmas-calendar special (perfect for this season but I don't have time to do it atm). But yes, it won't reach the qualities of the Norwegian grown-up Olsenbanden serie, let alone the Danish original ones. At least these movies aren't remakes :)

The movie itself looks good by the pictures, but my problem is the wrong choose of the era. The first original danish Olsen movie was made in 1968, when Ove Sprogoe was 49 years old. I don't know which year exactly it plays, but as I can see around 1958 (and the 1967 Beetle must be an anachronism). So the young Olsen is too young to be Egon Olsen who we know. This makes these new movies are unreal for me.

@BBDesign: annother problem is the mingling of the Danish originals with the Norwegian made fakes(?) reminsiscences(?) adaptions(?), also to see in vilero's link.
Despite the fact, that later made tributes are always poor, for a fan or connaisseur only the original is acceptable - so the Danish movies with the original actors. Though the Norwegian version were never shown on the German TV, I would never watch them, for the above-mentioned reasons. Plus the fact, that only the DDR-dubbed Olsen-films are funny, the West German dubbed are boring and un-funny. Indeed a reason, why the Olsenbanden-movies (the Danish originals) are still popular and loved in East Germany, but are nearly totally unknown in the West.

So here it's the same, as I do with other movies, series, books, music titles, too. Only the originals are accepted, anything else will be ignored.
